China Honorplas CPVC resin for growing CPVC compound business
Honorplas, a manufacturer of high-performance plastics used in the housing and infrastructure sectors, is reportedly eyeing China's growing construction industry for its chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) compound business. CPVC is a special type of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with added chloride, primarily used as a raw material in pipes for hot water supply, industrial applications, and sprinklers, which require heat resistance. Honorplas will use its recently constructed CPVC resin and compound plants in China to export CPVC compound to the world. “In order to grow its CPVC compound business (sold under the Honor brand), Honorplas is planning to expand sales of mainly the raw materials for heat-resistant pipes in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, where construction demand is expanding.”
