Details

HCPE is a type of chlorinated polymer with a chlorine content ranging from 65% to 69%. As a thermoplastic resin, it appears transparent, featuring a hard and brittle texture, while simultaneously exhibiting excellent chemical stability, saltwater resistance, and UV aging resistance. It is readily soluble in organic solvents such as toluene, xylene, and esters, forming a colorless to pale - yellow transparent solution. When this solution is applied to the surfaces of substrates like metal, concrete, and paper, the solvent evaporates rapidly at room temperature, leaving behind a transparent, hard, and highly glossy glassy film. This film can effectively block the penetration of moisture and oxygen, demonstrating outstanding resistance to the erosion of various chemical media . It not only provides corrosion protection for the substrate but can also serve as a decorative topcoat.
